Our first trip to Ecuador from Crossroads took place in 2012, when we brought a team to help build a church in San Martin. Pastor Tim had previously visited Quito in 2007 and developed a strong relationship with the leaders of the ministry there—a connection that has only deepened over time.

During that first trip, Jon and Shirley Fischer were leading the charge. Later, we got the privilege of witnessing the transition as their daughter and son-in-law, Angel and Krista Sigui, stepped into leadership. Under their guidance, the impact of this ministry has expanded significantly. Today, Angel is coordinating mission trips across several South American countries, multiplying the reach and effectiveness of their mission.

It’s been incredible not only to help build churches for our church family in Ecuador, but to build lasting relationships with the people there. These trips are truly life-changing. That’s why we make it a priority to schedule at least one mission trip each year—so more people can experience the power of serving, connecting, and growing together in faith.

Looking Ahead

In September 2025, we’re sending a team of 22 people to Cuenca, Ecuador. We’re excited to continue our mission—to connect as many people as we can with the hope that Jesus offers and helping construct a new church in a growing urban community.

How You Can Help

Your financial support goes beyond building materials. It helps us hire skilled local workers and ensures the success of every project. This mission takes many hands—and we can’t do it without your help.

Pray for a spiritual awakening in Cuenca. Ask for boldness for those sharing the gospel, and for open hearts in the community. Pray for a hunger in those who have yet to hear about the abundant life found in Jesus. And pray for smooth logistics and timely access to all the materials needed for the build.
